The Toyosha S126 is a 1.3 L (1,263 cc, 77.07 cu·in) natural aspirated two-cylinders four-stroke liquid-cooled internal combustion small diesel engine, manufactured by Japanese company Hinomoto under the Toyosha brand for general-purpose applications.
The Toyosha S126 engine has two cylinders, incorporate overhead valves, an indirect injection system, and an electric starter. The engine used a single-stage dry air cleaner, forced circulation liquid cooling system, and glow plugs for starting aid.
This engine produced 23.3 PS (17.2 kW; 23.0 HP) of maximum horsepower.

Cylinder Block and Head
Cylinder bore and piston stroke are 92.0 mm (3.62 in) and 95.0 mm (3.74 in), respectively. Compression ratio rating is 23:1. The cylinder head is a one-piece alloy cast-iron casting as is the engine block and no cylinder sleeves are used. The pistons are aluminum alloy casting. The crankshaft is supported by three main bearings. Grow plugs located in the precombustion swirl chambers of the head provide aid for cold starting.
