The Honda F450 tiller is equipped with small general-purpose Honda G150 engine (144 cc, 8.8 cu-in); gear type transmission and belt main clutch. The engine uses a CDI (contact breaker point) or flywheel transistorized magneto ignition, a horizontal type carburetor and recoil starter.
The Honda G150 is a single-cylinder air-cooled 4-stroke internal combustion engine. The G150 engine a compression ratio rating is 6.5:1, cylinder bore and the piston stroke are 64.0 mm (2.52 in) and 45.0 mm (1.77 in), respectively.
The G150 engine produces 3.5 PS (2.6 kW; 3.5 HP) at 3,600 rpm of maximum horsepower and 7.1 N·m (0.7 kg·m, 5.2 ft·lb) at 3,000 rpm of maximum torque for models with CDI ignition system or 3.8 PS (2.8 kW; 3.8 HP) at 3,600 rpm of peak power and 7.4 N·m (0.8 kg·m, 5.5 ft·lb) at 3,000 rpm of maximum torque for models with transistorized magneto ignition system.
