The Honda GX660 is a 688 cc (42.0 cu·in) natural aspirated two-cylinders four-stroke air-cooled internal combustion small gasoline engine with a horizontal shaft, manufactured by Honda Motor Company for general-purpose applications.
It has a 78.0 mm (3.07 in) cylinder bore and 72.0 mm (2.83 in) piston stroke. The compression ratio rating is 9.3:1.
The GX660 engine produced 21.8 PS (16.0 kW; 21.5 HP) at 3,600 rpm of maximum horsepower, 17.0 PS (12.5 kW; 16.8 HP) at 3,600 rpm of continuous rated power, and 48.3 N·m (4.9 kg·m, 35.6 ft·lb) at 2,500 rpm of maximum torque.
