The Honda G200 K1 is an 197 cc, (12.0 cu·in) natural aspirated single-cylinder four-stroke air-cooled internal combustion small gasoline engine with a horizontal shaft, manufactured by Honda Motor Company since 1977 for general-purpose applications.
The Honda G200 K1 engine has a single-cylinder, side-valve (L-head) design with two valves, a camshaft driven by a single-row chain, and a heavy-duty recoil starter. This engine used a horizontal type carburetor with a butterfly valve, Capacitor Discharge Ignition (CDI) or transistorized magneto ignition, splash type lubricating system, and forced-air cooling system. The engine could be fitted with dual-element type, semi-dry type, or oil-bath type air cleaners. The G200 K1 is equipped with a 4.3 L (1.14 US. gal. 0.95 Imp. gal.) fuel tank.
The G200 K1 engine produced 5.0 PS (3.7 kW; 5.0 HP) at 3,600 rpm of maximum horsepower and 10.4 N·m (1.1 kg·m, 7.7 ft·lb) at 2,500 rpm of peak torque for the CDI version or 5.5 PS (4.0 kW; 5.5 HP) at 3,600 rpm of peak power and 10.8 N·m (1.1 kg·m, 8 ft·lb) at 2,500 rpm of maximum torque for the engine with transistorized magneto ignition.
