The Honda E900 is AC/DC, single phase, 4-pole portable generator with 900 VA of maximum power, 800 VA of rated power and 60Hz of rated frequency. The E900 generator is available with AC 115V and DC 12V rated voltage. The direct current terminals can be used for charging 12-volt automotive-type batteries 70 Ah and up.
The Honda E900 generator uses the G28EA single-cylinder gasoline engine with 68 cm3, (4.1 cu·in) of displacement. The engine has an overhead camshaft design, a flywheel magneto ignition system, and a splash-type oil system. The cylinder bore and the piston stroke are 49.0 mm (1.93 in) and 35.6 mm (1.40 in), respectively. The compression ratio rating is 8.3:1.
The engine produced 2.8 PS (2.08 KW; 2.8 HP) at 6,000 rpm of maximum horsepower and 2.0 PS (1.5 KW; 2.0 HP) at 5,000 rpm of rated power.
