The Honda EG1000N is a single-phase AC portable generator with a 0.85 KVA or 1.0 kVA of maximum power, a 0.75 kVA or 0.95 KVA of rated power and 50 Hz or 60 Hz of rated frequency (depending on the type of generator). The EG1000N generator is available with AC 230V (K,LS versions), 220V (M, R, RA, S versions) or 120V (L version) rated voltage.
The Honda EG1000N generator uses single-cylinder Honda GX80D gasoline engine. The Honda GX80 is a single-cylinder air-cooled 4-stroke internal combustion engine. The GX80 engine a compression ratio rating is 9.0:1, cylinder bore and the piston stroke are 46.0 mm (1.81 in) and 48.0 mm (1.89 in), respectively. This engine uses transistorized magneto ignition, horizontal type carburetor with butterfly valve, and recoil starter.
The GX80 engine produces 2.0 PS (1.5 kW; 2.0 HP) at 3,600 rpm of horsepower and 4.5 N·m (0.5 kg·m, 3.3 ft·lb) at 2,500 rpm of torque.
