The GM H20 is a 1.8 L (1,796 cc, 109.6 cu·in) straight-4 natural aspirated four-stroke liquid-cooled internal combustion vertical gasoline engine from the 3-rd generation of GM Family 1. This is version of Opel A18XER engine.
The 2H0 engine used a cast-iron cylinder block with five-bearings crankshaft and aluminum head with dual overhead camshafts (DOHC) and four valves per cylinder (16 valves in total). The engine is equipped with a sequential fuel injection system, double continuous variable cam phasing (DCVCP), and Coil-on-Plug high energy ignition system (individual ignition coil for each spark plug). Redline is 6,500 rpm.
This engine produced 140 PS (103 kW; 138 HP) at 6,300 rpm of horsepower and 175 N·m (17.8 kg·m, 129 ft·lb) at 3,800 rpm of torque.

Cylinder Block
The General Motors 2H0 has a cars-iron cylinder block with cast nodular iron crankshaft. The cylinder block is based on the proven hollow-frame concept. It has an 80.5 mm (3.17 in) cylinder bore and 88.2 mm (3.47 in) piston stroke. Compression ratio rating is 10.5:1.
Pistons apply a floating-pin design. The 2H0 motor has an aluminum alloy piston for high strength with two compression and single oil control rings. Connecting rods are made of forged steel.
